Road Design
Bidwells Consulting Engineers' produces fully designed and detailed packages for minor residential estate roads through to larger offsite highway improvement schemes inclusive of any submissions to the Highway Authority / Highways Agency for approvals such as Section 38 or 278 obligations.
As part of the comprehensive design package, Bidwells coordinates layouts and details of horizontal alignments and geometry of Highways. In addition, road longitudinal sections are generated addressing the vertical design of the highway complete with annotation to denote positions of gullies, drainage and traffic calming.
All road construction details are prepared in accordance with the Local Authorities Specification taking into account the site specific ground conditions planning constraints and client expectations as part of our fully integrated design solution.
