Profile

We are committed to adapting and evolving our working practices where necessary, considering how supplied goods are manufactured and transported and how we can advise our clients on environmental and sustainability related issues.

In addition, every Bidwells person is tasked with considering all environmental, economic, social, charity and community issues. The Firm recently introduced a range of initiatives designed to encourage people to reduce their carbon footprint, support community ventures and contribute to charity – financially, as well as in terms of advice, guidance and involvement.

Quality

Bidwells LLP is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and members of our team actively participate in regional RICS events and committees.

The business is committed to ensuring that all our people are aware of, and adhere to, RICS guidance at all times.

In addition, Bidwells has a proven track record of providing the very best client care and the testament to this is the fact that a large percentage of our clients have been with us for over 10-15 years. Every member of the team is encouraged to 'go the extra mile', by delivering more, adding value and exceeding the expectations of our clients. This approach sets us apart from our competitors and enables us to retain our enviable reputation for superior client retention.

Underpinning all this is the fact that we undertake regular client satisfaction surveys to help us gather critical feedback and ensure we constantly strive to improve our service and internal procedures.

But, above all, our client-centric focus on quality, combined with deep local and market knowledge, an unremitting desire to support our clients, whilst delivering the best advice and value are the cornerstones of our DNA.

Environment

The Bidwells Environmental Policy Group, which comprises specialists drawn from every part of the organisation, spearheads the Firm’s activities on environment and sustainability improvement. The Group sets policies and targets for the Firm, will measure our performance against identified goals and publish the results.

We take our legacy to future generations very seriously and therefore seek to develop our business and meet its strategic aims without compromising the ability of those who come after us to do the same. Working in partnership with our clients, and in keeping with their own sustainability targets, we recognise that we must ensure that our people, networks and suppliers adhere to this strategy.

To us, our sustainability strategy is an integral part of our business goals and our collective integrity.

At Bidwells, our ambition is to ensure that our sustainability strategy precedes any regulatory or compliance requirement – including introducing Green Travel plans for all of our locations.  We achieved ISO14001 in 2008 and continue to commit to:

  • Reducing the amount of energy used by the existing infrastructure and energy metering
  • Consolidating systems where possible
  • Reducing waste and ensuring that any waste disposal is completed in a responsible manner
  • Adhering to all relevant legislation
  • Evaluating the supply chain and manufacturing environmental credentials during new purchases
  • Promoting our best practices and our achievements to influence others
  • Monitoring our carbon footprint and setting targets for its reduction
  • Building and maintaining IT systems which help reduce the Firm's overall carbon footprint.
